Vision

The vision of the Bursary is to be a need-driven service-oriented department with qualitative professional service delivery to all stakeholders.

It wants to achieve this by, among others,

•Taking advantage of information technology advancements,
by automating most parts of the system for speedier
processing, accurate computations and timely generation
of reports for stakeholders’ information and decision-making.

•Developing an efficient workforce with emphasis on professionalism
and positive attitudinal approach to work.

•Making information available to various arms of the
University periodically or as and when required.

•Improving the productivity of all classes of staff through
training and re-training.

•Ensuring that the Department is indeed a financial management
unit that not only manages resources that come into the system,
but is also involved in fund raising initiation and facilitation,
while also generating fund.
